Science Center, houses most of Amherst's current collection in
astronomy, biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics. Five College
patrons may borrow circulating material.
The Olds Mathematics Library is on the fifth floor of the Seeley G. Mudd
Building. It houses current mathematics and computer science journals
and a small reference collection. Books and journals are for use in the
Library only and do not circulate.
The Vincent Morgan Music Library, on the top level of the Arms Music
Center, contains an extensive collection of recordings, scores, and
books on music. The Music Library lends circulating material to Five
College borrowers.
Mount
Holyoke College
The Pratt Music and Dance Library, located on the lower
level of the Pratt building, houses a collection of audio resources, scores,
and materials about music and dance. Materials may be requested through
Five College Delivery.
Smith
College
Smith supports particularly strong special collections and branch libraries.
Rare book, manuscript and archival collecting focuses
on women’s history, women's organizations, English and American
literature, the history of printing and book arts, the history of science
and other areas. These items generally do not circulate at all; some may
be available for reproduction.
Three major
subject-oriented branch libraries—visual arts, performing
arts, the sciences and engineering, and a nonprint media collection—are
open to Five College patrons; specific hours and direct borrowing privileges
vary. Please refer to individual libraries and collections for further
information.
