Eighth-Annual Five College Student PoetryFest set for February 24, 2010 at Mount Holyoke College

From the intricately descriptive to the intensely personal, work to be presented at the Eighth Annual Five College PoetryFest displays varied styles of poetry written by students across the five campuses. Each year, each Five College campus chooses two students to read an original poem at the PoetryFest. Their poems are then assembled as a collection and presented to each participant, along with a gift certificate to a local bookshop.

The Five College PoetryFest is free and open to the public and takes place on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 7:30 pm in Mount Holyoke College’s Gamble 106B. A reception will follow in the lobby of Gamble Auditorium.

This year's poets are:
Amherst College: Deepti Mandiyan and Christopher Spaide
Hampshire College: Teal Van Dyck and A.J. Krebs
Mount Holyoke College: Bryna Turner and Jenna Lempesis
Smith College: Melissa Davis and Julia Marley
UMass Amherst: Caitlin McLaughlin and Shelby Kinney-Lang
