The Five College Public School Partnership promotes collaboration of K12 and college faculty in order to serve the needs of public school districts in Western Massachusetts. Through a variety of programs, the Partnership promotes discussion about teaching and scholarship and offers discipline-based professional development for K12 teachers.

Current programs of the Partnership include: Teachers as Scholars, a series of professional development seminars taught by Five College faculty; the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Teacher Education Collaborative (STEMTEC), a collaborative among K12 schools, community colleges, and the five colleges to promote inquiry-based pedagogy at all levels of instruction and to encourage undergraduates to pursue teaching careers; Understanding the Native American Experience in New England, a twelve year endeavor to provide teachers with the tools and knowledge to teach about Native American culture, history, and communities; and Globalizing Knowledge: Bridging Southeast Asia and Asia-America in the K12 Classroom.

Other sources of funding for the Partnership include the National Science Foundation, the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education Eisenhower Funds, National Endowment of the Humanities and Five Colleges, Inc. The Partnership offices are located in the Five College center.
