Research Interests:

Courses include: Childhood in African and Caribbean Literature; Introduction to Black Studies.

Publications: Co-edited "Watchers and Seekers," an anthology of writing by Black women in Britain, and was guest editor of a special issue of Research in African Literatures on "African Women Writers" as well as an issue of the Massachusetts Review devoted to "Contemporary Caribbean Culture and Art." Her own essays have appeared in such journals as Transition and Callaloo, as well as in a number of critical anthologies.
