Calendar > 2009-09: September 10/03/2009 Saturday October 3rd 2pm Friday Oct 2nd, 7:30pm Sept 29 - Oct 5th Do you think Africa is all safaris and rural villages? Think again! At Five College Africa Day, we want to show you that THIS is what Africa looks like! Five College Africa Day 2009 is a forum in which students, faculty and the greater community can bring you "Inside Africa"--hear about each others' research, debate important issues, learn more about Five College student groups and study abroad opportunities, witness musical and dance performances, and eat great African food! Leave Africa Day with your hands and minds full of information on contemporary issues as well as course offerings and opportunities for study abroad. The food, African fashion show and dance performance will make you want to stay till the very end! Many thanks to our supporters from across the Five College and Study Abroad communities: Five College African Studies Program, Lexia International, CIEE, IES Abroad, International Human Rights Exchange Program, UMass International Programs Office, Amherst College African and Caribbean Students Association, Amherst College Multicultural Resource Center, Amherst College Black Studies Department, Amherst College Frost Library, Amherst College Anthropology Department, Umass African Graduates and Scholars Association (AGASA) Contact: asp@fivecolleges.edu or 413-545-2065.
