Through investigation of cultural, sociological and philosophical influences we will explore the teaching of visual arts in public and private schools, museums, community-based educational programs, and other alternative educational sites. We will discuss current issues within the profession, theory, funding and the diverse pedagogical approaches practiced in each of these fields within art education.
