Because of this, they have permeated the lives and minds of humans ever since they encountered one another. This 3-credit course in Cultural Entomology will explore these encounters from both a historical and a global cultural standpoint. The role of insects in history, art, music, astronomy, literature, theater, medicine, religion, myths, agriculture, trade, biology, etc., of various world cultures will be explored and will reveal the foundations and underpinnings of cultural diversity. Course will have an interactive website containing video clip concepts, interactive programs, ets. A passion for learning is required. (Gen.Ed.
