Caitlin Johnson

Caitlin Johnson (Smith MFA Teaching Fellow, 2nd year) graduated from Colorado College in 2005 with a BA in History and Political Science. There she developed a passion for dance under teachers Donna Mejia and Rosangela Silvestre. After graduating, Caitlin traveled to Brazil to deepen her studies of Afro-Brazilian dance and the Silvestre Technique. She returned to teach modern dance at The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, a co-educational boarding school where she also led the Community Service Program. Caitlin also taught ballroom dance in New York, and led movement workshops at the Kaplan School in Upstate New York, and for the Integral Leadership and Transformative Practice workshop at The Esalen Institute. Caitlin is thrilled to be joining her sister (’02) and her mother (Ada Comstock, ’10) as a Smithie.
