Michelle Marroquin

Michelle Marroquin (MFA Teaching Fellow, Smith College) learned ballet, folk and modern dance in Mexico City from her family of professional dancers. She earned a BA in Dance and Anthropology at Hampshire College in 1993, and danced professionally in New York City from 1994- 2004. Michelle has performed with artists Yanira Castro, Tony Silva, David Dorfman and Zvi Gotheiner. She is a Gyrotonic/Gyrokinesis Trainer, and a certified Yoga and Pilates Instructor. Michelle teaches experiential anatomy, contemporary dance technique, improvisation and composition.
