Dance the 21 Praises of Tara Workshop/Ritual Offering

SACRED DANCE
With Prema Dasara and Anahata Iradah

In this workshop the dancers are led into a mandala of dance, instructed in the subtlety of sacred movement and mudra. They learn experientially the philosophy, meditation and visualizations of the traditional Tantric Buddhist practice. At the end of the workshop the dancers are adorned with silk and jewel costumes (provided) and dance for the community in an offering ritual. In the spirit of community celebration, men and women are also welcome to enroll in the workshop as a musician. This Sacred Sound Ensemble will bedirected by Anahata Iradah.

Tara is the embodiment of wisdom and compassion.She is the great mother goddess, swift to assist any who call out to her, overpowering obstacles, and dissolving ignorance. She is a deity of Buddhist Tantra, a potentiality latent within everyone. Praise Her, Embody Her and

The workshop will be at Smith College, Crew House

• April 5th: 7pm-10:00pm
• April 6th: 7pm-10:00pm
• April 7th: 7pm-10:00pm
• April 8th: 12:00-1:30pm

There is a 10.00 fee for community members,
there is no fee for Five College Students
