Dance Counselor – Maine Arts Camp, Unity, Maine

Maine Arts Camp, is an overnight camp for children ages 8-16. We are located on the campus of Unity College in Unity, Maine. Our camp season for staff runs from July 4 – August 5, 2012. We are looking staff interested in living and caring for campers for the month of July. We offer over 60 activities, including a wide variety in the arts. In the past, we have offered a variety of dance activities (modern, choreography, jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop). The dance counselor position is a combination of leading/assisting in dance classes, working as a dorm counselor (living with the campers), and helping out wherever needed.

Besides dance, our activities include a variety of visual arts, music, theater, photography, videography, gardening, culinary arts, individual sports and more:

We are very much a camp, with camp songs, camp fires, friendships, and developing an inclusive, camp community. With a limited enrollment of 115 campers, we have a small and dedicated staff, interested in working with kids/teens and helping them gain skills and grow.
