Evaluations Amherst College Evaluations work through the department and are handwritten. Please consult the departmental coordinator about the procedure. Hampshire College Hampshire uses computer evaluations. Carol Trosset in Institutional Research is in charge. You should receive forms from her during the semester. If you do not, please contact Carol or the secretary of your school. Mount Holyoke College Evaluations are administered through the Dean of Faculty’s Office. You should hear from Mary Heyer (from the Dean’s Office) before the end of the semester. Smith College Smith uses computer evaluations, and the process is administered by the Dean of the College. For a 2 week period, students have access to the evaluation forms online. (They are reminded multiple times and fined if they don’t comply.) No evals are done for courses with fewer than 6 Smith students, grad courses, Five College courses, study abroad courses or special (independent) studies. If your course has fewer than 6 Smith students, you will need to make alternative arrangements in order to do written evaluations. You should be able to view the evals online after the 2 week evaluation period is over. University Evaluations work through the department and have a handwritten comments section as well as a bubble section. Please consult the departmental coordinator about the procedure.
