Five College Archives Advisory Committee

Purpose:

To monitor archival issues on an ongoing basis: to consult with other Five College committees as necessary; and to act as an advisory committee to the Librarians Council.

Area of responsibility:

To consider issues related to archives, manuscripts, and special collections that are of concern to the Five Colleges, and to make recommendations to the Five College Librarians Council.

Membership:

At least one, and no more than two, representatives from each institution appointed for a two-year term, with the possibility of reappointment, plus a member of the Librarians Council as an ex officio member. The committee will choose its chair who will be responsible for calling the meetings and reporting to the Librarians Council. Others may be invited to attend meetings when special advice is needed.
