DEDCC 09/09/05 meeting at Five Colleges - notes

Present: L. Button, S. Berger, J. Ewing, M. Billings, C. Loring, J. Jourdain

1. The fclib-l listserv seems to be fully operational and fine now.

2. The final report on the digital object management (DOM) retreat in July has been completed and will be distributed soon. DEDCC will be interested in the outcome of the report’s recommendations.

3. Meeting schedule for the fall semester: October 7, October 28, November 18, December 16, all 9 AM at Five Colleges.

4. All plans are set for the NAAUG/SMUG update brown bag lunch Friday, September 23, at UMass. More details will be forthcoming.

5. We are still very interested in co-sponsoring a forum on GoogleScholar during January so are continuing to identify potential speakers before making a formal proposal to the FCLC.

6. We plan to devote an upcoming meeting to brainstorm technology ideas for future Five Colleges implementation.

Next meeting: Friday, October 7, 9 AM, Five Colleges.
