Meeting Notes

05/06/02 3PM Meeting at Five Colleges
Present: S. Berger, J. Schafer, M. Hanley, S. Brown, C. Loring, R. Fonfa, J. Jourdain

1. Accepted minutes of last meeting.
2. Discussed implementation of TDNet. Agreed that implementation requires involvement of both Ser/Acq and RIO groups and that we need detailed information from TDNet regarding data needed, time table, customization options.
3. Set summer meeting schedule. (See below for dates/times.) During the second July meeting we will set early fall meeting times.
4. Listed technology ideas for future review among the Five College Libraries. This discussion included an update on the status of the "window shopping" committee, which is waiting for further instructions from FCLC.
5. Agenda for next meeting: begin looking at technical options which may exist for facilitating journal article delivery (similar to FCD for books) among the Five College Libraries. Also, we'll discuss ground rules for our meetings and activities.

a. Marilyn will see about web space for DEDCC documents at www.fivecolleges.edu

New
a. Jay will coordinate the contract aspect of TDNet
b. Stephanie will draft a statement to Ser/Acq and RIO regarding TDNet implementation process
c. Chris will ask the Oberlin group if any of them have unmediated
(minimally mediated?) article level ILL
d. Jan will look at Melvyl and Kudzo for clues about if/how they do article level ILL
e. Stephanie will do a lit search about article level ILL
f. Marilyn will ask Linda Matson to write a brief report on III functionality re DD/ILL and unmediated article delivery.
