Meeting Notes

07/09/02 3PM meeting at Five Colleges
Present: S.W. Brown, C. Loring, M. Hanley, R. Fonfa, J. Jourdain
1. We accepted the notes from the 6/26/02 meetings.
2. Jan updated the group on the progress of TDNet implementation.
We're hoping to have sample pages to look at mid-July and have just about worked out the kinks of the government documents issue.
3. We held our first quarterly review of our progress as a group and
concluded that we're on track and progressing in keeping with our charge.
4. We discussed some options for a Five Colleges Libraries (FCL)
website as a sub-site of www.fivecolleges.edu and concluded that we'd like to implement a repository for group minutes at a minimum, geared primarily for an audience of FCL staff members only.
5. We further discussed our ground rules regarding communications and
concluded:
a. We'll make every effort to communicate directly to the Chairs of
other FCL committees on relevant topics
b. We'll distribute notes from our meetings on the FCL website as it
emerges
c. We'll recap the need to communicate what's discussed in each of our
meetings as a final part of each meeting
6. We added a few items to our "ideas" list of topics we'd like to
consider and agreed that the list needs to be categorized into two groups before we actually prioritize the items via email before our next meeting.

B. Raven will categorize the ideas list
C. Marilyn will distribute the FCL committee info to all of us
D. Stephanie will send out instructions on how to prioritize the ideas list E. Everyone will inform their respective contacts that the idea of further automating in-Valley document delivery is on indefinite hold, pending development of helpful technologies
