Meeting Notes

12/09/02 meeting at Five Colleges

Present: J. Schafer, S. Berger, R. Fonfa, S. Willen Brown, M. Hanley, J. Jourdain

1. We rescheduled our planned January 27 meeting to January 29 at 2:15PM, Five Colleges

2. R. Fonfa and S. Berger reported on plans for the Open Linking and Federated Searching meetings in January. The first meeting will be Thurs, Jan 9, 1-4:30PM at Mount Holyoke; the second will be Tues, Jan 21, 1-4:30PM at Smith. More details and invitations will be forthcoming soon from the planning subcommittee.

3. We briefly discussed NetSnippets, deferring a possible demo until March 2003. In the meantime, we added it to our ideas list for in depth discussion.

4. We continued our review of our ideas list, discussing EndNote support possibilities and LOCKSS the most. Both require further investigation before we can continue discussion.

Chris: find out about granting possibilities to support implementation of either/both technologies

Marilyn – find out more about "My Millennium" (already part of our III systems)
Jay – find our more about LOCKSS
All – find out more about local EndNote situations
All – look into status of ArtStor
