Meeting Notes

12/16/02 meeting at Smith College

Present: C. Loring, M. Hanley, J. Schafer, S. Berger, R. Fonfa, S. Willen Brown, J. Jourdain

• Chris gave us an update on the FCLC's activities with regard to possibly funding a new ILS/LMS.

• Raven and Sika gave us an update on the Open Linking and Federated Searching meetings in January. Invitations should be forthcoming.

• Sika reported briefly on her meeting at Wesleyan earlier in the day about the ongoing "live reference" trial.

(Our meeting was abbreviated for a variety of reasons, resulting in extremely short notes.)

Action Items - Old
• Chris: find out about granting possibilities to support implementation of either/both technologies
• Marilyn – find out more about "My Millennium" (already part of our III systems)
• Jay – find our more about LOCKSS -- done
• All – find out more about local EndNote situations
• All – look into status of ArtStor -- done
• Raven – check on status of live ref with RIO -- done
• Marilyn – check status of Five Colleges web redesign
