Minutes of the May 7, 2007 Meeting
Present: Bonnie Vigeland (chair), Bryan Goodwin (recorder), Margaret Groesbeck, Sherre Harrington, Barbara Polowy
Absent: Beth Lang
Minutes for the April 9 meeting were approved and will be added to the RIO page on the Five Colleges website.
Librarians Council Request to RIO: Sherre Harrington reported that the Five College Library Directors would like RIO to develop a list of high priority improvements for the OPAC that should be accomplished this summer with the assistance of Ex Libris. The Directors would like to receive the list no later than May 31. In response, RIO committee members suggested that high priority items could be drawn from the results of the recent Five College OPAC survey and from a usability testing program that could be done in the next week. Sherre agreed to this suggestion.
Usability Testing Program: RIO reviewed the questions/tasks previously drawn up for the usability study. Several minor modifications were agreed upon:

Where is the [your college] copy located?

[Email Record to Yourself]
RIO members will finish the usability studies on their campuses by May 18 and have a summary of results ready for the next RIO meeting. Guidelines for conducting the study can be found in the minutes from the Feb 12 RIO Meeting.
Next RIO meeting: May 21, 2007 at Hampshire College at 9am
