Courses should be posted by Tuesday, November 10th. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~><(((*> Faculty from both natural and social sciences teach courses in the program. The disciplines represented include biology, botany, chemistry, ecology, food science, forestry and wildlife management, geography, geology, physics, and zoology in the natural sciences, and government, public policy, and economics in the social sciences. None of the colleges offer a major in Marine Science, but Smith College does offer a minor. Students may earn a Certificate in Coastal and Marine Sciences at Smith, Hampshire, and Mount Holyoke Colleges, and at the University of Massachusetts. The FCCMS Program is guided by a steering committee with members from each of the five colleges: AMHERST COLLEGE HAMPSHIRE COLLEGE MT. HOLYOKE COLLEGE SMITH COLLEGE UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS, AMHERST FIVE COLLEGES, INC. The program office is located in Bass Hall, room 109, on the Smith College campus. Meetings are available by appointment. An adjacent bulletin board and resource room contain information on volunteer positions, funded internships, graduate studies, and job listings. Students affiliated with the program receive information on campus lectures, films, and events as well as information on internships and research opportunities in the field.
