2009 Summer Internships

The Five College Coastal and Marine Sciences Program (FCC&MS) offers financial support for internships during the summer months at a number of locations. The program awards $ 3,800 for a ten-week period. Juniors are given priority for selection, and graduating seniors are not eligible.

Interested Five College students should submit an application packet, which includes:

1.Application form:DOWNLOAD BELOW- under "More Information"

2.Cover letter explaining your interest in the internship and how the internship relates to your academic career plans

3.Transcript (Unofficial)

4.Two letters of recommendation (Must be in sealed, signed envelopes. May be submitted by student or sent directly to us.)

Application packets are due February 20, 2009 and can be sent electronically (marinesci@email.smith.edu), returned in person, or via postal mail to: FCC&MS Program, Smith College, Clark Science Center, Northampton, MA 01063.

IMPORTANT: Smith College Students interested in a NOAA internship MUST apply through the Agnes Shedd Andreae Fund
