Reserve the Skulls Kit

Skulls Kit
A kit made up of 12 primate skulls is available for loan by the Five College Public School Partnership office. The kit is designed as a hands-on approach to studying human evolution, allowing students to investigate by examining skulls of living and extinct human relatives. The skulls were designed by Hampshire College's Professor Deb Martin and her colleagues, and were refurbished during the summer/fall of 1999, adding new skulls.

To reserve the kit, please call or email Sue Thrasher, 413-256-8316. The kit may be reserved in blocks of 3 weeks, depending on the demand, allowing multiple teachers within a school to use it.

The skulls kit can be used for any grade level. If you have used the kit and have resources or lessons to share, please contact Sue Thrasher.
