This is a longer training (ETW) offered once per semester. It is required of all tutors. Taught by faculty from the five colleges and area teachers, the ETW equips you as a tutor with detailed tutoring strategies, ideas for projects and lessons, the opportunity to meet and share ideas with other tutors and to ask questions related to students you are tutoring. The training lasts 5 hours. Coffee and a small breakfast and full lunch are provided. As with the Overview Training, you will be paid for your hours if you have federal work study.
The training will take place in Kendade Hall at Mount Holyoke College and will run from 10:00 AM to 2:45 PM.
Kendade Hall is located on the Mount Holyoke College campus. You can see a map and get directions from your location here.
If you will be driving, park in the lot off Park Street, on your left if you are coming from 116. (if you look at the google map in satellite view the parking lot on the left down Park Street looks clearer). Although the lot says faculty and staff only, parking is free to the public on Saturdays.
Bus directions will be posted soon! Once you REGISTER, you will receive an email with detailed information a few days before the training.
Registration begins around 10:00, and there will be coffee and donuts available at that time in the Kendade Atrium. Introductions of staff and presenters will begin promptly at 10:15 in Cleveland L2
