Five College America Reads/Counts Program

America Reads Extended Training Workshop

This is a longer training (ETW) offered once per semester. It is required of all tutors. Taught by faculty from the five colleges and area teachers, the ETW equips you as a tutor with detailed tutoring strategies, ideas for projects and lessons, the opportunity to meet and share ideas with other tutors and to ask questions related to students you are tutoring. The training lasts 5 hours. Coffee and a small breakfast and full lunch are provided. As with the Overview Training, you will be paid for your hours if you have federal work study.
