|"Performing Gender in Putin's Russia", a lecture by Julie Cassidy|
Julie Cassiday is Professor of Russian at Williams College, and President Elect of the Association of Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies (russian.williams.edu…). Dr. Cassiday’s lecture explores the topic of gender identity and representation in post-Soviet Russia. She is a specialist in Russian theater and cinema, gender studies, and performance studies and has authored numerous articles spanning these disciplines, as well as co-edited the forthcoming volume Thinking through Performance in Russian Culture, or Russian Performances (2018).
