Bus service during fall, 2018 exams: regular bus service should provide timely transportation to most exams, with the exeption of those normally using the 39 Express. For the 39 Express finals schedule, click here.
The campuses are linked by a daily bus service that is fare-free during the academic year. Some routes include stops at local towns and shopping areas. Schedule information is available on the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) website and in printed form on the buses, at bus stops and in campus student services offices.
Bus service on the 38, 39, and 43 routes begins Tuesday, September 4, and Express 39 service between Mount Holyoke and Smith (formerly the Seemo Shuttle) begins Wednesday, September 5.
Use Google Maps to find the best bus route to get you where you want to go.
Keep in mind that while many PVTA routes are free for Five College students, others require a fare of $1.50. All of the following PVTA bus runs are fare-free during the school year but require a college ID from a Five College campus: 30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 36, 38, 39, B43, 45, & 46. Note that the R29 runs from the city of Holyoke to UMass and requires a fare of $1.50. Information on all PVTA bus routes can be found at PVTA's website.
