Campus COVID Policies, Fall 2022
The following policies are in place at Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, and Smith Colleges, and UMass Amherst. Click on the links below for details on individual campus policies.
Masks are required in most indoor locations until further notice at Hampshire. Masks are optional in most indoor and all outdoor locations at Mount Holyoke, and UMass. At Amherst and Smith, masks are no longer required indoors except at their respective health and testing centers. At Amherst, individual faculty members may choose to maintain the mask requirement in their classrooms as they deem appropriate.
All campuses require students and employees to receive the primary series of COVID-19 vaccinations, with exceptions allowed for health and religious reasons.
Access to campuses, meetings and events
All campuses allow Five College students and employees access to their classroom facilities, but each campus has its own policies on access to other campus resources. All campuses have resumed in-person and hybrid meetings, although each campus may have different rules on participating in them.
