The Five College Early Music Program will be presenting several performances in December. All of these concerts are free and open to the general public.

The Incomparable Josquin

Grace Church, Amherst

The Collegium, presents some of the best-known works of the greatest composer of his generation, Josquin des Pres (c. 1450–1521). Among other works, the Collegium choir will perform the fou- voice Ave Maria, a work that came to be a model composition for generations, and Josquin’s last composition, his Missa Pange Lingua. The program is rounded out by instrumental selections performed on Renaissance winds, directed by Daniel Meyers.
