Five College Language Center Director Elizabeth Mazzocco remembered at memorial service

The Five College community was deeply saddened to learn of the death on September 24th of  Elizabeth Mazzocco, Five College professor of Italian at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and longtime director of the Five College Center for the Study of World Languages. Dr. Mazzocco began her consortium career in 1989 as a visiting assistant professor of Italian at Mount Holyoke College. The following year she became a visiting assistant professor of Italian at UMass and director of the then-Five College Foreign Language Resource Center. A memorial service for Dr. Mazzocco was held at Amherst College's Johnson Chapel on September 29. A full obituary can be viewed here.
