Jaquelyne Luce, Director

Senior Lecturer in Gender Studies at Mount Holyoke College, Jacquelyne (she/her) took up the directorship of the FCWSRC on July 1, 2021. Jacquelyne is an an interdisciplinary feminist scholar, committed to intersectoral, transnational, and intergenerational feminist community building. Her teaching and research explore the interconnected worlds of activism, research, and care that contribute to the development, use, and governance of emerging medical technologies, especially in relation to rare and chronic embodiments and assisted reproduction. She was
a FCWSRC Research Associate in 2010, a member of the FCWSRC Steering Committee for the past 3 years, and is an active participant in other Five College faculty seminars and certificate programs. Prior to joining the Five Colleges in 2012 as teaching faculty in women and gender studies, Jacquelyne worked in Europe for 10 years leading
multi-country “science in society” projects.

Maegan Bergeron-Clearwood, Program Coordinator

Maegan (she/they) MFA in theater and a certificate in Advanced Feminist Studies from UMass Amherst. As a playwright, dramaturg, and scholar, their work focuses on queer rage, feminist representations of violence, non-linear utopian process, and musical theater. As a theater critic and  scholar, Maegan’s writing has appeared in New England Theatre Geek, The Journal of Dramatic Theory and Criticism, Everything Sondheim, and Onstage Blog, among other publications. Past institutional work includes the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Connecticut, IBEX Puppetry in New York, and the Olney Theater Center. Maegan enjoys martial arts, tarot, and gothic novels.
