Meet the leadership team for the Five College Women's Studies Research Center

Jacquelyne Luce, Director
Senior Lecturer in Gender Studies at Mount Holyoke College, Jacquelyne (she/her) took up the directorship of the FCWSRC on July 1, 2021. Jacquelyne is an an interdisciplinary feminist scholar, committed to intersectoral, transnational, and intergenerational feminist community building. Her teaching and research explore the interconnected worlds of activism, research, and care that contribute to the development, use, and governance of emerging medical technologies, especially in relation to rare and chronic embodiments and assisted reproduction. She was a FCWSRC Research Associate in 2010, a member of the FCWSRC Steering Committee for the past 3 years, and is an active participant in other Five College faculty seminars and certificate programs. Prior to joining the Five Colleges in 2012 as teaching faculty in women and gender studies, Jacquelyne worked in Europe for 10 years leading multi-country “science in society” projects.

Lily Sendroff, Program Coordinator
Lily Sendroff (she/her) joined the FCWSRC as Program Coordinator in January, 2023. She holds a BA in Government and the Study of Women and Gender from Smith College, and her primary areas of academic research and writing center on transnational feminisms and feminist economics. Reflected in her work at the Center, Lily views community as a main pillar of feminist praxis. Before joining the Center, her recent projects include “Democratic Precarity from Below: Exclusion, Resistance, and the Gendered and Racialized Division of Labor” and contributions to “Anti-Imperialism and the United Nations: Mapping the Afro-Asian Peoples’ Solidarity Organization during the U.N. Decade for Women.” Her writing has appeared publicly in the second edition of Women Worldwide: Transnational Feminist Perspectives as well as online in Ms. Magazine.
