This intensive course introduces the basics of Modern Standard Arabic using all four primary language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students will learn the alphabet, learn the vocabulary and skills necessary for everyday interactions, and learn skills necessary to begin to read and analyze basic texts in Arabic.

This intensive course continues introducing students to the basics of Modern Standard Arabic using all four primary language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students will develop conversational and listening skills and further practice in reading and composing simple texts in Modern Standard Arabic.  Prerequisite: Elementary Modern Standard Arabic I or the equivalent.
