2014 Five College Student Film Festival

The 2014 Five College Film and Video Festival screening and award ceremony took place on February 28th at Amherst College. The event featured selections from over 60 films submitted by  students at all five campuses in the consortium.

2014 Festival Awards:



Best of Festival, Best Narrative: Rachel Danae Bass, Amherst College, for The Princess and the Tree.

Best Documentary, Best of Amherst College: Joyzel Acevedo, Amherst College for Palimpsest.

Best Animation: Elisabeth Makishima, Smith College, for The Trap.

Best Experimental: Linda Fenstermaker, Hampshire College, for Inversion.

Best of Dance on Film: Francesco Passalacqua, Hampshire College, for Synkrov.

Best of Hampshire College: Marinah Janello, Hampshire College, for Something's Lurking in the Water.

Best of Mount Holyoke College: Anita Haidary, Mount Holyoke College, for This is My City Too.

Best of Smith College: Salome Kokoladze, Smith College, for Who Are You?

Best of UMass Amherst: Rahmah Mohamad Pauzi, UMass Amherst, for Not My Heaven.

Best of Graduate Student Submissions: Erica Kowz, UMass Amherst, for A Journey Upstream.
