Indigenous Justice with Gender Parity: A Conversation with Cristina Cucuri and Silvia Rivera Cusicanqui

Cristina Cucuri was among the leading actors pushing for gender parity in Ecuador's 2008 constitutional reform and the Coordinator for Territories and Resources in Ecuador's Confederation of Kichwa Nationalities (ECUARUNARI). Silvia Rivera Cusicanqui is a Bolivian feminist, sociologist, historian and subaltern theorist and former director and longtime member of the Taller de Historia Oral Andina (Woekshop on Andean Oral History). In conversation they will explore the histories of indigenous women's mobilizations for political and social change that have resulted in new legal and cultural landscapes in the Andean region.
