SPRING 2015 COURSES ARE POSTED BELOW (categorized)

IMPORTANT : Course requirement changes have been approved beginning
Spring 2015 for students who have not yet begun the certificate. Students in-process with their certificate work can choose to use either the old requirements, or adapt to the new requirements.
Changes: The first two categories on the course list have been combined into one. Students must now take one course from each of three categories (previously one from each of four categories), with the remaing three courses from any category. Two courses with a strong marine concentration (listed in bold) must be taken (previously one was required).

NEW Complete Course List (3 categories)
OLD Complete Course List (4 categories)
**********************************************************
A minimum of six courses in three categories is required for the certificate.
Check the complete, categorized course list
to see if your courses are approved for the certificate. This master list may include courses not currently offered. Some courses may have stipulations (like "with marine project only"), or may require prerequisites.

Note: You do not need to be working towards the certificte to take these courses.

Note to faculty members: Please contact marinesci@smith.edu if you would like to suggest a course that should be added to our list. Include the course number, title, semester(s) offered, and its relevance to marine science.
