Other events include the annual Rand Lecture at the University given by Assistant Professor of Theater History and Criticism, Megan Lewis on "Magnet's Theatrical Labors in South Africa" on January 29, 2013 at 4 p.m. in the Rand Theater at UMass, with a reception to follow in the Fine Arts Center Atrium:
There will also be a lecture by one of Magnet's founding members and artistic directors, Professor Mark Fleishman of the University of Cape Town, on "'Lapsing into Democracy': Un(der)speaking Theatre in the Transitional State" at Amherst College (Stirn Auditorium) on Wednesday, January 30 at 4 p.m.
