The National Endowment for the Humanities is an independent federal agency and one of the largest funders of humanities programs in the United States. The NEH has demonstrated a long commitment to funding programs for teacher scholars through its summer institutes and seminars. Five Colleges, Incorporated has received a grant from the NEH for a summer institute in the summer of 2015 on Native Americans in New England: A Historical Overview.
