Abbe Karmen, a native New Yorker, has taught a seventh-grade history course in Greenwich, CT, for the past sixteen years. In addition to teaching, she serves as an advisor to a small group of students and coaches Middle School field hockey, swimming, and tennis.
She earned a BA from Smith College, a MA from the University of Maine, and a PhD from the University of New Mexico. Prior to moving to Connecticut, Abbe taught at the University of Maine, the University of New Mexico, Kirtland Air Force Base, and Central New Mexico Community College.
