Amanda Patrick

Amanda currently works as a Reading Specialist in Winthrop, MA.  Prior to this school year, she taught high school U.S. History in Boston and Lawrence for five years.  She is passionate about her work with struggling readers, and loves the freedom she has to explore her and her students' interests through print.

Amanda holds a B.A. in History and Studio Art from Tufts University, where she also earned a M.A.T. in Secondary Social Studies.  Most recently, she pursued her Reading Specialist credential at the MGH Institute of Health Professions.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys gardening, Middle Eastern dance, travel, and studying Spanish.
