Siri Scott teaches fourth grade at Shutesbury Elementary School, a small rural public school in western Massachusetts. She loves nurturing her students' curiosity and creativity through all subject areas, creating safe and joyful learning communities, and believes that imagination is essential to engagement.
She has traveled widely, from places like Nicaragua to Japan and Egypt, and especially enjoyed volunteering at a village school in India as well as spending a year teaching English to children in South Korea. She is most at home in nature, surrounded by animals, and delights in finding the magic in those ordinary, everyday moments of life. Her hobbies include creative writing, art-making, swimming, hiking with her dog Oona, and perfecting the fine art of napping.
