Commemorating Roe v. Wade -- Featuring the Executive Director of the National Network of Abortion Funds

Red Barn
Yamani Hernandez, a visionary and strategic leader working for reproductive,
racial, and economic justice, will be the featured speaker at the annual event
commemorating Roe v. Wade by the Abortion Rights Fund of Western
Massachusetts. ARFWM will also honor Ms. Hernandez through a donation to
Access Reproductive Care – Southeast, a new abortion rights fund in Atlanta.
Ms. Hernandez leads the National Network of Abortion Funds, which builds the
capacity and power of its grassroots member organizations while working to
remove financial, logistical, cultural, and political barriers to abortion access. The
network is comprised of 70 grassroots organizations in 38 states and three
countries, with thousands of volunteers who respond to more than 100,000
callers per year in need of financial support for abortions.

The annual “Roe Event” commemorates the 1973 landmark decision by the
United States Supreme Court making reproductive choice legal. In a time of
intensive attacks on women’s reproductive rights across the United States, and
the likelihood of additional anti‐choice justices on the Supreme Court, the risks to
this vital legislation have never been greater. Join us to share community and gain
energy for the battles ahead.

Members of the press are warmly invited to attend, but for security purposes must register in advance by emailing Students are admitted free with I.D., but space is limited.
