2020-21 Funding Opportunities

Five Colleges is pleased to offer several funding streams to support small- and large-scale collaborative, cross-campus events and initiatives. If your event or program doesn’t fit into any of the below categories, download and fill out this FCI Funding Request Form. You can also contact Ray Rennard with information about your event to learn more.

One-time events (lectures, performances, small exhibitions, etc.)

Multi-event/multi-day symposia or conferences; residencies

Series of events (sharing works-in-progress, etc.) as planned by seminar chair for regular seminar members

Non-academic events for primarily student audience

Award amount

Mini-Grants: Up to $10,000 per grant

Residency: $10,000-$60,000 based on length

$250–$2,000

Up to 75% of total budget

$5,000–$15,000

Up to 100% of total budget

Up to $1,000/year

Up to $1,000

Up to 50% of total budget

Eligibility requirements

Proposals that demonstrate cross-campus collaboration are strongly encouraged

Faculty members from at least 3 campuses substantively involved in event planning OR

Events sited on at least 2 campuses OR

Financial and/or in-kind contributions from at least 3 campuses OR

A combination thereof

Faculty members from at least 3 campuses substantively involved in event planning OR

Events sited on at least 3 campuses OR

Programming features faculty members from at least 3 campuses OR

Significant financial and/or in-kind contributions from at least 3 campuses OR

A combination thereof

Seminar members must include faculty from at least 3 campuses, preferably all 5Events must be open to all Five College students
