CBO Tour 2025
Come Visit: Attend the Five College CBO Tour on June 8, 9, and 10. Transportation to the area, lodging, and meals will be paid for by the Five College Consortium.
The Five College Consortium in western Massachusetts makes available for all students many of the opportunities that our campuses offer their own students. They may take courses at any of our campuses at no additional charge–that’s about 7,000 courses each year. In addition, students can access libraries, labs, and social events on any of our campuses, linked by a free bus service.
CBO Tour of the Five College Consortium
From June 8 to 10, 2025, the Five College Consortium will host 25 community-based organization counselors from around the country to tour our campuses. With student-led tours, faculty panel discussions, and presentations from admissions directors, attendees will learn how, by enrolling in one campus, their students can experience the benefits of all five.
Counselors will learn how our students choose from thousands of courses at five of the most rigorous and innovative campuses in the country, access 10 million library volumes through our Joint Online Catalog and participate in Five College academic programs that pool the strengths of each institution.
Schedule
The tour will begin with an early evening reception and dinner on Sunday. On Monday, counselors will tour three campuses and will end the day with a late afternoon reception at one of our campuses. The tour will end around 3pm on Tuesday, after visiting the remaining two campuses.
Cost
Five Colleges will cover the cost of transportation to the Five College area and to and from our campuses. We will also cover meals and accommodations during the program.
Lodging and Meals
Your lodging will be on us at the historic Hotel Northampton, here in beautiful western Massachusetts. Each counselor will have their own room.
Most meals will be provided by campus dining services.
Travel
Five Colleges will cover all travel expenses to the counselor tour (flight, train, bus, mileage). Transportation from Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Hartford, CT or the Springfield train station will be provided. We will also return you on Tuesday afternoon.
A travel agent will assist counselors in securing flight or train tickets to attend the tour. We will provide their contact information to you after confirmation of attendance. Please do not make your own travel arrangements.
