Feminist Writing Community
In the spirit of feminist solidarity, accountability, and productivity, the Center hosts a variety of opportunities to write in community, carving out regular space and time to simply do the work.
This page is regularly updated with FCWSRC-created and co-sponsored events. To receive up-to-date event announcements in your inbox—including announcements for feminist happenings in the wider Five College community—please sign up to be added to our mailing list.

Summer 2026 Writing Groups
To nurture feminist writing practices across the summer months, the Five College Women's Studies Research Center launched a Summer Writing Initiative. These groups were intended to create opportunities for colleagues to workshop in-progress drafts with one another and receive meaningful feedback that drives their work forward.G
Groups met twice a month across June, July, and August, at a time and place (including Zoom!) of members' choosing. Each group was made up of about four writers each with members engaging similar fields, themes, and objects.
