This workshop is intended for intermediate and advanced animation students who wish to pursue independent animation projects within a classroom environment. The weekly meetings will be structured around providing creative, critical, and technical support for the participants. All participants will be required to present their work to the group several times during the semester, and these reviews will be complemented with readings, screenings, and other assignments where appropriate. Students interested in the workshop must have a demonstrable level of mastery over their medium as well as course evaluations in prerequisite areas. Students will be allowed to work collaboratively as long as each student has a distinct role and responsibility on the proposed project. Prerequisite: Prerequisite detail: Students interested in the workshop must have a demonstrable level of mastery over their medium and have successfully completed at least one college-level course in their prerequisite area(s).
Independent Work In this course, students are expected to spend at least six to eight hours a week of preparation and work outside of class time. This time will be primarily spent on production projects but may also include screenings, reading, and writing.
Multiple required components--lab and/or discussion section. To register, submit requests for all components simultaneously.
