This course provides a project-based learning experience on the fundamentals of science writing,
emphasizing accessible science communication about neuroendocrinology. In addition to weekly writing workshops, students will regularly compose short science summaries: one reflecting on recently learned scientific content from lecture, and the other a brief summary on a new technical concept learned within that same period written for a nonscientist. Students will also develop a semester-long public discourse project on a neuroendocrinology topic of their interest that intersects with society, with the ultimate goal of sharing it with their intended, public audience. Corequisite: NSC 314. (E)
Permission is required for interchange registration during the add/drop period only.
