Mathematics is often called the language of the universe, celebrated for its elegance and relevance. Yet its power lies in how well humans communicate it. An important objective of any mathematician is to convey both professional and personal insights in ways that make sense to the intended audience. This course develops reasoning, writing, and presentation skills in the context of mathematics, while encouraging students to find their own voice. Structured as a team-based learning class, it emphasizes collaboration and practice. Together, the class hones communication skills in three dimensions: message (content), presenter (speaker/writer), and audience (reader/listener). Prerequisite: Two MTH courses at the 200-level or above, including at least one proof-based course. Restrictions: Not open to first-years. Enrollment limited to 20. (E)
