This seminar examines the intersections of neuroscience, society, and social justice. Through extensive readings and discussions, the course critically examines how neuroscience has been used to reinforce social inequities and how factors such as racism, poverty, and social stressors impact brain function. The course covers a range of topics including racism, sexism, neurodiversity, economic inequity, criminal justice, and more.
