This course is a Community Service Learning experience where students connect academic knowledge with an organized experience in a contemporary Indigenous community. Students will integrate anthropological theory, concepts and methods, working together on an issue of the community's choosing. Students will employ critical thinking concerning academic and traditional Indigenous knowledge, and learn to dialogue with academia and their host community. Satisfies the Integrative Experience requirement for BA-Anth majors.

Enrollment in the course is by application which can be found on the CPNAIS website or by emailing jforward@anthro.umass.edu.

Permission is required for interchange registration during all registration periods.
