This course is conducted during spring break of each year to introduce students to the concepts and procedures involved in the artificial insemination of dairy and beef cattle. The instructors will accompany students to Pennsylvania where they will receive instruction from a professional in the artificial insemination industry. Successful student participants earn a certificate of completion.
Open to Senior and Junior Animal Science majors only. Course is offered over spring break. There is a $300 travel fee. Please contact John Balise at jbalise@vasci.umass.edu to enroll.
