A brief introduction to the C programming language for students with a good working knowledge of Java and data structures. This course is good preparation for COMPSCI 230 and courses that use C and C++. Prerequisites: COMPSCI 187 or ECE 242 or permission of instructor. This course is for Computer Science minors and majors only, but it does not count towards either degree.
Open to Computer Science majors only. COMPSCI 187 or ECE 242 w/ C STUDENTS WHO HAVE TAKEN COMPSCI 230 ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THIS COURSE. COURSE RUNS FOR 6 WEEKS (9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, and 10/19). ADD/DROP THROUGH 9/19. INSTRUCTOR CONSENT REQUIRED TO WITHDRAW 9/20-9/23 ONLY.
