Drum Circle Part 1 is a course is designed so that even a beginner in drumming can feel able to process the rhythms in an independent and interdependent way amongst the group. We will learn: how to experience the art of listening and its influence on the nature of the drum circle; the healing power of the drum and the influence it has on human relationships through meditative drumming and short stories; and, we will incorporate traditional rhythms from W. Africa and Latin America, plus there will be ample opportunity to create rhythms as a class.
